Designing the Digital Future
We don’t just teach design; we evolve it. The Creative Technology & Design (CT&D) curriculum integrates advanced UX, systems thinking, and emerging tech across six powerhouse minors:
AI-Assisted Design, Brand Design, Digital Typography, Creative Technology, Animation & Motion Design, and Game UX/UI Design.
Creating dynamic brand identities and applying them across impactful applications and strategic experiences.
Exploring type design and kinetic typography through systemic experimentation and motion-driven expression.
Conceptualizing innovative digital products through human-centered design and systems thinking to solve complex challenges.
Integrating AI into creative workflows to amplify and accelerate the design process.
The Specializations
Expanding the Craft: Our Six Powerhouse Minors
The Creative Technology & Design (CT&D) curriculum in the School of Art & Design at FIT offers six industry-aligned minors. These pathways allow students to deepen their expertise in emerging fields, ensuring they graduate as versatile, forward-thinking creative leaders.
AI-Assisted Design
Integrate generative AI into creative workflows to amplify potential and accelerate the design process. Students balance conceptual strategy with emerging tech to define the next frontier of digital craft.
Brand Design
Create dynamic brand identity systems and apply them to impactful applications. This minor focuses on a multi-sensory approach, building strategic experiences that engage audiences across every touchpoint.
Creative Technology
Explore the intersection of design, digital culture, and code. Students leverage interdisciplinary collaboration and new design technologies to solve complex challenges in a rapidly shifting landscape.
Digital Typography
Master the architecture of type for the digital age. This minor explores systemic type design and kinetic typography through a lens of experimentation and motion-driven expression.
Animation & Motion Design
Bring narratives to life through movement and sound. By combining 3D modeling with kinetic systems, students develop the skills to create compelling visual stories for screens of all sizes.
Game UX/UI Design
Apply human-centered design principles to the world of gaming. Students craft intuitive interfaces and immersive user journeys for mobile, web, and console-based gaming environments.
Empowering students to unleash their creativity through the Creative Technology & Design program.
Students in the Creative Technology & Design course work on diverse projects including UX/UI Design, Digital Product Design, Branding, and Typography, presenting exemplary work.
